Heavy rainfall expected to erode Sonoma County's ailing roads

Admittedly, Matt Prince was on his bicycle Thursday to work off extra pounds gained during the holidays.
But even Lance Armstrong would have felt some unwanted jiggling riding down Lichau Road’s cratered surface.
“I should have full suspension for this,” Prince said, pausing west of Sonoma Mountain on the road’s shoulder. “It’s a mosaic of potholes.”
Of course, it’s no surprise that Sonoma County is beset with potholes. For six years running, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission has named the county’s roads the worst in the Bay Area.....etc.
