Harry: I can't believe we drove around all day, and there's not a single job in this town. There is nothing, nada, zip! Lloyd: Yeah! Unless you wanna work forty hours a week. Harry: Maybe we should just check out Matt's YouTubes

My Latest Slide Show
I found an old board game at a garage sale and in time, it morphed into something rather different. No ordinary game, it took on a life of its own.

Melba's Toast
Just shared an awesome visit with Danvin. These two lovebirds are like a single being, thus the shared name.
Danny is a brilliant abstract artist, whose intensity is best channeled into his work. He also possesses a relentlessly funny sense of humor like no one else.
Vinnie is a prolific author of mystery novels as well as a beautiful woman of tremendous stamina...after 14 years with Danny....but you gotta love him.
Click on either name for a glimpse into their worlds of artistic talent....

Lawn Gnomes Rock
Alec (aka. 707-SURF) celebrated turning 50 today! Clearly he hasn't aged that much....
He & Londa threw a most excellent party and Alec even entertained guests with his band and their eighties flashback repertoire. Backyard ambiance, a posse of cool friends, a loving family, good food, rockin music and positive vibes...and those lurking lawn gnomes.

Patch Time
The Patch is back. No...not the one on my chin....the surf spot. South swell with offshore wind made for some idyllic conditions today.
Strangely as I drove to the coast, I was wondering about Hans who I hadn't seen of late. Guess I'm a little psychic, 'cause there he was when I pulled in. He had surfed the Patch late yesterday and was back for more.
We paddled into waist to chest high waves of dream shape. For a solid hour the place was entirely ours! We traded wave after wave and hoots of enthusiasm. These waves just kept on giving with long workable faces to carve.
Looking at my self portrait, I may also carve off my own scruffy patch pretty soon.

surf CAMP
I caught this flick 'on demand' last night and would give it about 1 ½ stars. No worries, it’s a freebie (not worth paying to view). In fact watching the trailer would likely suffice.... though I admit to finding this over the top Jaws rip off to be kind of a kick.
Yes it is tasteless and lacks character development. However they did throw in some good surf music and some competent wave riding, as well as a giant croc with lots of tude. Kind of an amusing parody of itself really. I only intended to glance at it for several minutes, but hey.
